Colombia Narino Bueasco Franco Lopez El Cielo Honey is sourced from the single farm named El Cielo owned by Franco Lopez and his family. Franco has been the owner of this farm since 1994. El Cielo is located near the municipality of Buesaco in the department of Narino, Colombia. Franco is 73 years old and he has 4 adult children. One of his youngest daughters named Cielo is continuing the legacy of the cultivation of specialty coffee. Franco has been a finalist in cup of excellence for the last five years. He attributes the great quality of his coffee to the careful picking and processing of their harvested caturra cherries in his micro-mill, which allows for meticulous care in depulping and drying of the coffee. Franco and his family, in collaboration with an exporting company we have visited in Colombia coordinate efforts that include technical support to guide coffee farmers on the best agricultural practices to produce high quality coffee. The goal of this “Shared Value” concept is to increase the quality of his coffee and income from the sale of his coffee as a way to improve the quality of life of Franco and his family. This coffee is a balanced flavoursome coffee, with a sweet and juicy taste close to grapes and a balanced to low acidity.

Goes very well with HARIO V60 and other pour-over methods, Cafflano® Kompact, and Aeropress, or makes a pleasant cortado.
